Placenta encapsulation is processing the placenta into easy to take capsules.
There are are 2 different methods to preparing the capsules to choose from.
Customers can also choose both methods and have half the placenta steamed and the other half raw to experience both benefits.
Raw: The placenta is dehydrated without being heated or steamed.
It is believed to retain more of the nutrients, hormones, and enzymes, as there is minimal processing. Supporters suggest it may provide stronger immediate energy-boosting effects. Some believe it offers more iron and B vitamins due to the raw preparation.
Steamed or TCM (Traditional Chinese Method): The placenta is gently steamed before dehydration.
This method can help with stabilising moods. The process is inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where steaming is believed to add warmth and balance the body’s energy post-birth.
The steaming process may reduce some nutrient levels but is thought to make the capsules easier on the stomach and more nourishing for long-term postpartum recovery.
